The A.Vogel story began on 1 January 1923, when Swiss naturopathy pioneer Alfred Vogel opened his first health food and herbal medicine store in Basel, Switzerland. Born in 1902 in Aesch, Basel, Alfred Vogel was a herbalist, naturopath and writer who dedicated his life to the healing power of nature. His guiding philosophy was simple but profound: “Nature was my best loved university.”
